BoardPAC Awards Deloitte, Daimler Truck, and AfriSam in South Africa with Digital Governance Professional Certification

BoardPAC has reaffirmed its strong and growing presence in South Africa by awarding the prestigious Digital Governance Professional (DGP) Certification to senior governance professionals from some of the country’s most respected enterprises. The certification is a mark of distinction given to experienced users of BoardPAC’s platform who demonstrate advanced expertise in digital board management and governance.

During a recent visit from the company’s global leadership team, DGP Certifications were presented to Stewart Bishop, Group General Legal Counsel of Daimler Truck Southern Africa Ltd; Anita Augustine, Executive Secretary to the Chair and MD Business at Deloitte Africa; and Allarice Prinsloo, Company Secretary, along with Bernadette Morris, Legal and Compliance Administrator at AfriSam.

To be eligible for the DGP Certification, professionals must have a minimum of one year of experience using BoardPAC’s core secretarial functions. The certificate, valid for five years and awarded at no cost, recognises individuals for their demonstrated capability in navigating digital governance tools with precision, compliance, and leadership.

The certifications were presented by Gihan Candappa, Vice President – International Sales and Marketing, during his official visit to South Africa. He was joined by BoardPAC’s regional team: Phil Boshoff, Regional Sales Manager for South Africa, Americas, Europe and the United Kingdom; Justin Gribble, Regional Client Services Manager – South Africa; and Supun Abayawardana, Senior Business Development Manager.

“South Africa represents a dynamic and strategic market for BoardPAC, and our growing presence here reflects the importance we place on the African region as a whole. Expanding our footprint in South Africa is a natural next step in strengthening our partnerships and delivering impactful governance solutions tailored to the evolving needs of organizations across the continent,” said Gihan Candappa.

“It was a privilege to host Gihan and the team during their recent visit to South Africa, where we had the honour of presenting the Digital Governance Professional certificates to our esteemed clients and individual company secretaries. This moment marked a meaningful milestone for BoardPAC South Africa in our shared commitment to excellence, collaboration, and continued growth across borders,” added Phil Boshoff.

This visit marks a significant milestone in BoardPAC’s engagement with the South African market, reflecting the company’s continued investment in its client relationships and regional presence. With a growing base of enterprise clients across various industries, including automotive, consulting, construction, and financial services, and a fully operational regional office in Johannesburg, BoardPAC continues to be a trusted governance partner for forward-thinking organisations across the continent.
