The team of five ladies representing BoardPAC at the unique hackathon, “Hack Like A Girl,” spotlighting women technopreneurs, bagged first place with their winning invention of a Volunteer Management System dubbed Volent.
The event was organized by Sri Lanka’s national chamber for the IT/BPM industry, SLASSCOM – through its Women Technopreneurs Forum – in partnership with IFC and the Government of Japan, to break stereotypes and empower women in the tech industry.
Team BoardPAC’s victorious solution, an integrated volunteer management system was built as a platform to connect volunteers with the available volunteer programs.
The hackathon is organized by SLASSCOM to elevate the Sri Lankan IT/BPM industry and motivate women to take up careers in tech and pursue tech entrepreneurship.
