Three days of conversation and connection: BoardPAC at ICSI’s 54th National Convention

From experienced Company Secretaries to students preparing to enter the profession, there was much to discuss at the BoardPAC booth during ICSI’s 54th National Convention of Company Secretaries in Bhubaneswar.

Held from 5–7 September 2026 at Mayfair Sanctuary, the convention brought together more than 1,000 participants from across India. Organised by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), the three-day gathering explored the theme “NextGen CS – Catalyst of Growth & Guardian of Governance”, with BoardPAC taking part as a Gold Sponsor.

“It was an exciting three days in Bhubaneswar attending the ICSI’s 54th National Convention. with over 1000 participants from all over India” said Amila Salgado, a representative from BoardPAC.

Regulatory technology, sustainability and the changing needs of boardrooms were among the topics discussed during the convention. These discussions provided an opportunity to consider the evolving responsibilities of Company Secretaries and how technology could support their work.

At the BoardPAC booth, the focus turned to the practicalities of digital board meetings. Visitors spoke with the team about how secure, paperless processes could help improve efficiency while reducing the use of printed board papers.

“As BoardPAC was the gold sponsor of the event, we had many Company Secretaries visiting our booth and interacting with the BoardPAC team.” Amila said.

There was a little extra excitement too, with BoardPAC’s lucky draw offering visitors the chance to take home an iPad, Sony Bluetooth headphones and Amazon vouchers.

Beyond the formal sessions, cultural events and entertainment organised by ICSI gave delegates an opportunity to spend time together. For the BoardPAC team, the convention also offered opportunities to meet respected members of the profession and exchange perspectives on the future of digital governance.

“Multiple networking opportunities with significant Company Secretaries who are respected across the industry.” Amila noted.

For BoardPAC, the gathering was an opportunity to connect with the people involved in board governance every day, as well as those preparing to enter the profession. Their questions and perspectives contributed to discussions on how technology can support more efficient, secure and paperless boardrooms.

BoardPAC extends its appreciation to ICSI for the opportunity to support the convention as a Gold Sponsor, and to all delegates who visited the booth and shared their perspectives on digital governance. The team wishes ICSI continued success in the year ahead and looks forward to further engagement with the Company Secretary community.
